One question Janice is frequently asked is "Do you work on childrens books?"

    The answer is: "YES!"

Take time to have your childrens book edited:

Turnaround on editing a childrens picture book is approximately one week. Take the time and do it right! Have your book professionally edited. If your book is already designed, you can email the PDF to Janice and she will proofread the final text, before the book is printed. Email Janice for more information.

Janice has worked on the following childrens books in one or more of the following capacities: editing, design, illustration, print management:

The Land of Curiousities by The Ecoseekers

Fishy Friends: A Journey through the Coral Kingdom by Michael Patrick O'Neill

The Day the Trash Came Out to Play by Ezra's Earth Publishing

"Janice Phelps helped us get our project off the ground. She provided invaluable feedback and editing skills, which made The Day the Trash Came Out to Play such a success. Thank you!"– Ezra's Earth Publishing

The Cow in Apple Time by Beekman & Hathaway (design)

Lilies on the Moon by Kidzpoetz Publishing (design)

"I chose Janice to design the cover and to edit the interior for Lilies on the Moon because I came to the conclusion that she would treat the book with love. I knew this would be the case based on initial conversations we had in which we realized that our views on the fragility of childhood were one in the same. I didn’t even consider another designer for my children’s book after I talked with her. The book she ultimately created surpassed anything I could have envisioned when I first started Lilies on the Moon. She is the only designer I will ever consider for future books." –Robert Kurkela, author of Lilies on the Moon

The A's Were First to Go by Carl Wasko (editing)

Mr. Tootles - Polka Dot Lollypops by MaryCeleste Clement (editing)

They Called Me Beautiful edited and illustrated under my pen name, Claire Starr

Menace in the Walls (editing and project management)

"Janice's work as an editor for our first juvenile fiction book "Menace in the Walls" was exceptional! Janice went beyond what we asked her to do. She is a true professional!" — Celeste Bailey, Ph.D. and Lucy Eskeland, Ph.D., Science2Discover, Inc.
